A helmet is a type of personal armour and was designed specifically to protect the head during the combat. Moreover, for centuries helmets were only used by armies. Now you can purchase in our store your own replica helmet from different periods. We invite you to familiarize yourself with our products.

The oldest helmets are said to have been worn by Sumerians/Akkadians in the 23rd century before Christ and Mycenaean Greeks six centuries later. They have been developing vividly along with weapons, becoming more advanced and made of more solid materials. First, they were produced of leather or brass. As the most modern materials were invented, such as bronze, iron or steel, helmets were constantly evolving. They lost popularity after 1670, but came back to use in the army during World War I.

In our shop, you can find perfectly copied historic helmet replicas of various kinds. For instance, there is a Spanish conquistador helmet replica, used at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. Its beginnings are associated with the conquest of Mexico and the Incas, as it was worn by Hernan Cortez and Francisco Pizzaro. We also prepared a helmet modelled on those used by the hussars, who are famous to have been very effective cavalry. What is more, you can get an outstanding replica of Richard the Lionheart’s helmet with an impressive crown.
