Katana Laito Hand made in small smith in complicate technique with two separate parts of the blade, tempered in different conditions: the cutting edge side uagane – sharp and hard, the spine core side shingane – elastic. Only the casting process last 4 days. Casted block of steel named tamahagane was forged many times. The steel had a lot of air access to minimaze the carbon in it. The blade was sharpened in 14th stages, on the beginning with thick-seeded stones and next with gradually smaller grains inside.
