Handmade carbon steel japanese samurai katana sword r875

Katana Laito. Double-hand swords similar to katanas appeared in Japan in 8th century as imported artickle from China. On xylographs from 12th century, the civil war period in Japanese history scetched many battle scenes with the samurai sword appearance.

This katana was made in small, Japanese smith with only the basic, traditional armour techniques and original materials its creates. The hilt is made of two pieces of Japanese Magnolia glued by rise glue and covers by rayskin. It has ring named fuchi at the hilt side of the guard tsuba. Tsuba, the circular guard made of noble metals elements, richly decorated. Curved blade of a 1060 steel by Japanese smiths with techniques inherit from their ancestors.
The set includes saya sheath covered by lacquer with mounted threads sageo to tie on the left side.
