The blade structure of this Katana is honsanmai, it is made of 1095 high carbon steel and Damascus steel by following traditional process. Hard 1095 carbon steel is wrapped by Damascus steel as a core, after sharpening it is exposed as the cutting edge. Damascus steel is folded forged 14 times before it is forged together with 1095 carbon steel. After clay temper process the blade presents unique and beautiful hamon.
