Miniature replica of Medieval crossbow. In Poland appeared at the beginning of the 12th century. Called self-shooter. Its use known from the historic sources was in the Thirteen Years’ War (1454-1466) between Poland and  State of the Teutonic Order.

The crossbow made of wood (prod) and steel (bow). It has engraved ornamentation at the wooden part and the brass rosettes. The shooting energy was even ten times stronger than shooting with bow. The initial speed was 150 m/s. The highest efficiency was in shooting at 75-90 meters, when quarrel gained maximum speed and could destroy steel armor.
