HISTORICAL SCOTTISH CLAYMORE Broadsword platform-XVII century.

The basket broadswords also known as Claymore replaced in 17th century both-handed swords in Scotland. Popular between British Army officers, Scotland Highlanders Infantry where survive until World War Second. As an element of gala outfit used until present by Scotland Royal Regiment.

The basket handle, originally decorated and fitted by soft, red material protected hand from bruises. The pommel decorated by tassel. The blade is narrow, straight similar to Epee.
The scabbard is steel with two lockets and rings.
