The ax was a powerful sidearm of a medieval knight, especially during the Crusades. This solid weapon has a large, expertly sharpened blade with a large cross on it. The blade has been riveted to a hardwood handle and has blades for extra support. The grip has been smoothed and wrapped in smooth black leather. All metal parts have been oxidised, including the hangers at the bottom. Made by masters of blacksmithing. Leather ax pouch included.
