M1A1 carbine
(1132/C)
Specifications:
The official name of the M1 carbine is the United States Carbine, Caliber .30, M1. It is a lightweight semi-automatic firearm, very simple in use. It was a standard weapon for the American troops during the Second World War, as well as in the wars in Korea and Vietnam. There were few versions of this carbine and they were commonly used also by the police, military and paramilitary forces in many different countries of the world. What is more, it gained popularity as a civilian firearm as well.
As many as 6.1 million of diverse variants of M1 carbines was produced, what makes this weapon the most manufactured small arm for the U.S. army during the Second World War. It was originally designed by Winchester company, but most of the guns were made by other enterprises. The largest manufacturer of this carbine was General Motors, but many rifles were produced by contractors as well (such as, for example, IBM).
M1A1 carbine was technically very similar to M1 - it constituted a lightweight and semi-automatic firearm as well. The barrel band lacked a bayonet lug and it was not possible to adjust the sight. The carbines were usually refurbished at arsenals, therefore their stocks tended to be swapped out. Today it is very hard to find an original Inland M1A1 with a genuine stock of this model. However, in our online shop you can easily order a marvellous M1A1 carbine replica with a removable belt and stock. This product is made of metal alloy (zinc and aluminium) and wood.
