The Polish cavalry sabres pattern 1917 were first Polish sabres after reclaim independence in 1918. There were  on Polish army equipment during Polish-Soviet War (1919-1921).

This sabre has cross-guard with three hoops curved S-shape and connected below the half oh the hilt length. To the hoop is joined a tassel. The back arm of the guard is teardrop form. The blade curved circularly with inscription ?Honour and Homeland?.
