The presented specimen is the sabre of gen. Sikorski. It was so-called gift-sabre gaved only the most prominent officers in the Polish Army. General Wladyslaw Sikorski got this weapon in 1920 on his name-day from his subordinates ? 22nd Infantry Regiment. It was made in Warsaw by G. Borowski armourers especially for this occasion. Sabres from this company was known for brass, casted hilts (one form). Recently it?s in the exposition of Polish Army Museum in Warsaw. This sabre is truly an unique item.

The blade of this replica is flat with slightly shown feather. On side of the blade originally decorated by ornament ? shield under the helmet, the eagle with crown from the Polish emblem and inscription ?FOR HONOR OF HOMELAND?. Other side of the blade is still smooth, without engrave.
The hilt is fully closed one form brass cast. Form of the hilt is related with the form of karabela?s hilt. The cross-guard with the hoop. The grip in the form of eagle breast and the crown as a nut fastened the blade to the hilt.
The scabbard made of chrome steel. It have two rings and stylized monogram WS between them. The neck collar was set by pressing. The spur typical for the sabres with pattern 1921/22. Relatively large heel.
The sabre and the scabbard are exact replicas of originals.
The set include wooden board.
