SEAX HISTORICAL DAGGER with scabbard CIRCA 750 r



It’s a knife seax, used by Germanic tribes since Migration period to Early Middle Ages. Thanks to Normans it appeared in Great Britain. Presented specimen is a replica of dagger found in Sittingbourne in Kent.

It’s a beautiful dagger with special, one-edged blade with wide, diamond form. From the base is a fuller adjacent to engrave, geometrical ornament. The hilt has brass elements by the forte. The grip is wooden, cover around by rivets for better handle. The pommel is brass with original, unusual form.
The scabbard is leather with two brass rivets.
